Layered Maple Apple Cake with Maple Cream Drizzle

Who doesn’t love a dessert with apples upon apples upon apples. This decadent apple cake is inspired by the traditional Jewish version served on Rosh Hashanah, which is celebrated at the beginning of the fall and the beginning of apple season. I’ve added my own little twist with sweet, high quality maple syrup and topped with maple cream (what?!). Make this dairy free by opting for almond milk and apple sauce in place of the milk and butter. There is absolutely no reason not to have fresh fruit cakes and crumbles on every menu for fall, especially at the High Holidays and Thanksgiving dessert table.
